TINY TOTS (2-4)
Description: Our NYDC Tiny Tots Class is designed for toddlers ages 2-4, offering a nurturing environment for their growth and development. Your child will engage in various activities that promote physical development, enhance coordination, and boost confidence. With a focus on motor skills, physical activity, and group interactions, our classes provide the ideal setting for your toddler to learn and grow. Join us today and give your child the perfect start on their journey of discovery and learning, including music, dance and movement with friends.
CATHY’S CORNER (3-6)
Description: Our Playful Story Hour for Ages 3-6 is a class for an hour full of songs, stories, movement and fun! With 20 years teaching experience and a Masters in Literacy, Cathy brings books to life with a multi-media presentation and an hour of connection and creativity. This Class will be held on three Sundays, Sept. 22, Oct 27, and Nov. 24 from 10:00-11:00.
Cost: $60 for all three classes (one child), $80 per family.
CREATIVE DANCE (3-5)
Description: At NYDC we believe in nurturing a love for dance that lasts a lifetime. Our Creative Dance class is designed with cognitive and age appropriate growth path to help foster the love of dance and performing arts. This class offers a foundational introduction to dance technique, ensuring that every child’s first steps into the world of dance are filled with fun, learning, and creativity. Our curriculum is a delightful blend of various dance forms. As your child masters the basics, they are gradually introduced to more advanced techniques, ensuring continuous growth and development. This approach not only enhances their skills but also builds their confidence, preparing them for more advanced classes and performances.
Dramatic Programming
FILM AND THEATER PERFORMANCE (7-12)
Description: This program is designed to help young kids bring out their unique personalities and break out of their shells. In the class, they will learn musical theater on stage and on-camera acting techniques. Kids will engage in fun acting games that not only enhance their skills but also ensure they have a blast while learning and discovering the joy of acting. Length: 10 weeks, Ages: 7-12

ACTING THROUGH SONG (12-18)
Description: This course is designed to develop students’ skills and advance their understanding of musical theater performance. Students will improve their vocal technique and stage presence while developing their performance and audition technique. Course includes vocal training skills, character development, song interpretation, storytelling through song and audition preparation. This course is designed as a continuum with the Film and Theater Performance class at NY Dance Centre. Length: 10 weeks, Ages: 12-18

IMPROV (What You Laughin’ At?) (14-18)
Description: This course introduces students to the foundations of improvisational acting and builds on skills of more experienced improvers. Through experiences and games, students will learn the basic skills of improv and have fun developing their spontaneity, imagination, creativity and confidence. This course is geared towards high school performers. All incoming high school students are welcome. Length: 10 weeks, Age: 14-18
Cost: $275
*All dramatic courses will culminate in a showcase performance at the end of their 10-week session.
